£20k down, £20k to go! Find out more about our work with Emmaus UK…
When Tilia Homes first partnered with the worthy cause in 2022, the goal was to educate ourselves more about the important work Emmaus does up and down the country.
Hundreds of cakes baked and tasted, miles walked, kilometres cycled, raffle tickets sold, golf balls teed off and furniture items auctioned, it’s been a busy six months for our regional businesses, who have been working hard to reach their ambitious £10k targets, all in the name of Emmaus UK, the national organisation committed to eradicating homelessness.
When Tilia Homes first partnered with the worthy cause in 2022, the goal was to educate ourselves more about the important work Emmaus does up and down the country. We’ve done exactly that, while raising almost half of our £40k target along the way.
With just six months left to raise another £20,000 and some fantastic efforts already making thousands for Emmaus, we’re not finished yet and ready to reach that all important finish line!
So, what have we been up to?
Our Northern region has been creative in its quest to raise £10,000. From donating more than 70 pairs of brand-new, designer trainers to Emmaus charity shops and £2,000 raised from fixtures and fittings gifted from our professionally designed show homes at Simpson Park, the team has put one foot in front of the other to make sure they reach their target!
Regional Managing Director, Stuart Craig and Sales and Marketing Director, Emily Horn, recently visited companions in Bridlington to find out more about how Emmaus has positively impacted their lives and hand out supplies.
In May, contractors and friends of Tilia Homes will all come together for an exciting day of golf, entertainment and prizes all in the name of raising funds for Emmaus UK. Held at the prestigious Prestbury Golf Club, the event promises to be a day to remember, all while raising awareness and funds for a fantastic cause!
Tilia Homes Central has raised a percentage of its target by raffling off a brand new laptop, gifted courtesy of Tilia Homes’ IT Partner, Aspire. This as well as hosting a traditional World Cup sweep stake for the worthy cause.
The team also welcomed Emmaus companions for a ‘Lunch and Learn’ session to find out more about the range of services the organisation has, from offering food and supplies to those most in need, to supporting people in their employment journey or finding permanent housing.
