Forton Cricket Clubs hits a six with new Tilia Homes sponsorship
Forton Cricket Club has scored a three-year partnership with Tilia Homes Central.
The sponsorship will support the club’s junior section equipment costs, as well as being used towards training and match balls and upgrades to protective equipment.
The club, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, currently has more than 70 junior members playing hard cricket ball, alongside the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) AllStars programme.
Chris Hughes, Vice Chairman at Forton Cricket Club, comments: “As a small, village club we are reliant on the support of local businesses, alongside our volunteers and members to continue our growth and offering to those who wish to participate in the wonderful sport of cricket in our local community.
“Through generous sponsorships and donations, we are able to provide a better standard of facility, equipment and experience to those who visit and access Forton Cricket Club, something we’re proud to have always done throughout our rich history. We much appreciate Tilia Homes’ support.”
Thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers, Forton Cricket Club’s Junior Section looks to engender the love of cricket among the younger generations, as well as providing affordable cricket for all. All this, while welcoming new families to the club and promoting health, fitness and wellbeing.
Lizzie Burda, Sales and Marketing Director for Tilia Homes Central, adds: “It’s our pleasure to be working with Forton Cricket Club and promoting the important health benefits and team building skills established through grassroots sports clubs.
“We wish the Junior Section lots of luck for the coming season and we’ve no doubt families from Saints View, Telford, and Montgomery Place, Market Drayton, which are both close by, will also come to know and love the popular community group.”
