Works commence at Tilia Homes’ 60-new home Osprey View
Tilia Homes Eastern has announced works have now commenced at Osprey View, in Beck Row, near Mildenhall, following planning approval by West Suffolk Council earlier this year.
The landmark development is the first of its kind as every one of the 60 three and four-bedroom properties will be heated by air source heat pumps, as well as being installed with an electric vehicle charging points, too.
Tilia Homes will not only bring its fabric first approach to responsible building to the prime location close to Mildenhall but has ensured there is a provision of two-bedroom bungalows and a proportion of affordable homes ensuring the development meets the growing demand for energy efficient homes from the wide range of buyers on the property ladder.
As part of its investment in the local area and infrastructure, Tilia Homes has pledged more than £500,000 in investment towards local education infrastructure as well as contributing to the local library.
David Thomas, sales and marketing director at Tilia Homes Eastern, comments: “We are delighted to have begun construction at our development in Beck Row, and we’re excited to see the first homes complete and their new owners start to move in.
“We’re incredibly proud of our plans for Osprey View, ensuring that our methods of housebuilding evolve to become more sustainable – opting to install more eco-conscious heat pumps over gas central heating, for example. This at a time when we appreciate that the cost of energy remains a key consideration for house hunters at this time.”
Osprey View is in a prime location to the north west of Mildenhall, surrounded by convenient amenities, including a primary school and nursery, community centre, pubs and eateries, a local shop and church.
