It was a desire to plant trees and watch them grow that first tempted Petrica Enache away from renting into buying. And when he saw the size of the gardens at Tilia Homes’ The Paddocks development in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, he didn’t look back.
The 29-year-old lorry driver, originally from Romania, recently moved into the three-bedroom, semi-detached Holmewood at The Paddocks, on Wilmot Drive, and explains what drew him to the popular development.
“I was previously renting a house close by, but I’ve always been a person who loves the outdoors, nature, gardens, plants and trees, and so when I first visited The Paddocks it ticked all the boxes. High quality homes, check, a great location close to work and friends, check and a large garden to plant things and watch them grow, check, check, check!
“I was impressed with the size of the gardens because you don’t always see them of this size in new build plots so I knew this was the place for me.”
After only a couple of months living at The Paddocks, first-time homeowner Petrica says the development feels like home.
“I’ve met some of my neighbours and there is already a real sense of community, which is lovely to be a part of…we have this, but with enough space between the homes to enjoy our own privacy, so it’s perfect.”
Petrica even has advice for those looking at buying their next home and why he decided to buy a new.
“There is a lot of flexibility in the financial support and packages you’re able to get when you buy a new build home, something that’s just not possible on the open market.
“I would also recommend that people get to know the sales and site teams they’re buying. Not only do they know the development, the area, and the house types inside and out, they have access to the financial experts in mortgage advisors that make the process even more seamless. I went with the team’s recommendation, and they went above and beyond to make my buying experience as seamless as possible.”
Petrica bought the three-bedroom Holmewood. The 902sqft property features a spacious kitchen / dining space, cloakroom and lounge with double doors that lead out onto his beloved garden. Upstairs, meanwhile, the main bedroom features a generous en-suite, two additional bedrooms and a family bathroom.
From looking forward to his first summer in his beautiful garden to getting to know neighbours, old and new, Petrica couldn’t be happier being a new homeowner at The Paddocks.
“I love being able to walk out of my front door to see the faces of new friends and even those I’ve known for a number of years who have since moved to The Paddocks too. Everything in my life is lovely and connected here and it’s all thanks to Tilia Homes.”
